project designed for an exhibition on the ephemeral nature of texting. this embroidered piece is a handmade reflection of the technology we use today to communicate. samplers are traditionally used to showcase newly learned stitches and typically contain text and images (e.g. "bless this house" and the alphabet). in this sampler, the text comes from my text communication with a friend who had two tasks for the day: go to her fertility doctor and pick up her eggs from her local community supported agriculture (csa) association. my text was a lighthearted look at the relationship of both appointments.
